Episode-8

Bayou-bred and world-traveled, Matthew Whipple RDN, LDN is a classically trained chef and registered dietitian, passionate about making people from all walks of life fall in love with food. As fishermen and free people of color, sugar planters and renowned game hunters, the Whipples have been whipping up mouth-watering dishes since they first settled Louisiana 400 years ago. Infused with that legacy and a childhood memory of PBS master chefs, Matthew pursued a career in culinary nutrition. He has worked in restaurants in New Orleans, vineyards in France, kitchens for people with special needs in Bangladesh, and organic farms in Greater Philadelphia. In his role as a dietitian, he has worked on school lunch reform, community nutrition education, retail dietetics, and is now pioneering the nutrition program at Penn School of Dental Medicine. His lifelong dream is to create a kids’ cooking show…with a dance segment, of course.
